The challenge
Two markets at once, local web design and fitness and gym marketing across the UK, Ireland, and the USA, on a site stuck mostly on page two with technical issues holding it back.
The approach
Audit first: 197 URLs and 1,230 links crawled in Ahrefs. Then GBP optimization with localized service areas, dedicated service pages, internal linking, and a clean technical foundation.
The result
Site health reached 100 out of 100 with zero errors, and impressions grew through the May 2026 core update. Honest note: an AI-blog experiment caused a dip, so I deindexed those posts and refocused on fundamentals. Most queries still sit on page two, so conversion is the next phase.
