The challenge

Two markets at once, local web design and fitness and gym marketing across the UK, Ireland, and the USA, on a site stuck mostly on page two with technical issues holding it back.

The approach

Audit first: 197 URLs and 1,230 links crawled in Ahrefs. Then GBP optimization with localized service areas, dedicated service pages, internal linking, and a clean technical foundation.

The result

Site health reached 100 out of 100 with zero errors, and impressions grew through the May 2026 core update. Honest note: an AI-blog experiment caused a dip, so I deindexed those posts and refocused on fundamentals. Most queries still sit on page two, so conversion is the next phase.

From a red grid to a green one

Reversed a Google Maps bug, optimized the profile and service-area signals, and turned a mostly-red local grid green, more than tripling call volume.

The challenge

Nearly invisible in Google Maps across the service area, with most of the local grid ranking outside the top 20 and a Maps bug actively suppressing the profile.

The approach

Baseline with a geogrid scan, reverse the Maps bug to clear the ceiling, optimize the Google Business Profile, strengthen service-area signals, and support with technical SEO and local links.

The result

The local grid went from mostly red to mostly green, ranking 1 to 3 across much of the map, and call volume more than tripled after the fixes.

The approach

A GEO strategy on top of SEO: content rewritten into clear, self-contained answers, topical authority filled in, and pages given schema and entity signals so AI systems could attribute them confidently.

The result

From absent to cited roughly 1,000 or more times across eight AI platforms, named as a source inside ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Grok, and more. The engines moved at different speeds, which is normal for GEO.

The approach

Fixed crawlability and on-page structure, built a strategic internal-link map, ran bilingual keyword and content planning, and launched a segmented Google Ads program by procedure, location, and language.

The result

Clicks up 28.6 percent, impressions up 47 percent, average position improved from 24.8 to 21.9, 528 organic keywords with 263 new, and Domain Rating climbed from 1.3 to 2.2 with 75 new referring domains.
